Web Video for Business
If you'd like to get in touch about a promotional or corporate video, please read this quick guide, and then use the contact form at the foot of this page.
Preparing a draft script
One of the first things we'll ask for is a draft script for your video. Writing out a rough script will give you a chance to think about what you're trying to say, and how best to say it. It will also allow us to provide you with a more accurate idea of likely timescales and cost.
Don't worry if you can't decide on exactly what to say or what you're expecting to see - I can help you with all that!! But even a very rough draft is better than nothing..
An example script
Here's an example of the kind of thing we'd need. Don't worry too much at this stage about the precise visuals. But if you do have a firm idea of what you'd like to see at any particular point, then make a note of it - otherwise, just put "VISUALS - TBA" - we can talk it through later and decide what will work best for you.
If there's any text (eg bullet points) that need to appear as words on screen, then it's useful write them out too. (Remember it can be confusing if your viewer is hearing one thing and reading another, so make sure that any words or bullet points that appear on screen match what's being said).

VOICEOVER:
"Welcome to Textatrack.co.uk - buy music with your mobile phone - no credit card, no fuss!
(begin with logo (animated?), then maybe a shot of a mobile phone?)
(TEXT: "no credit card", "no fuss")
"Each music track available from our website has a unique code - for example Track 1885.
(show website home page - zoom in on a single track to see the code)
"To purchase this track with your mobile, simple text 'track 1885' to 83262. The mobile phone is charged one pound.
(mobile phone message being written - then phone number)
(TEXT: "83262")
"You will receive a text message back with a PIN number to claim your new track.
(text message being received)
(TEXT (on mobile phone screen?): "your PIN: 2673")
"Simply enter your mobile phone number and PIN, and download your track!"
(mobile number and PIN being entered on the website - end with logo?)
Here's the finished video
Duration
30 seconds = 90 words!
You can get a rough idea of duration by counting 3 words per second. In the example above (with the website "textatrack dot co dot uk" counting as 5 words, and the phone number "83262" as five words too) the total comes to 91 words - so that's roughly 30 seconds of voiceover. There will generally be a little pause after the final words, maybe for a closing logo, or website address to appear. In this example, the final video comes in at around 40 seconds.
Logo Artwork
I'll need a reasonably high-resolution version of your logo - especially if you want me do animate it. A vector-based version is ideal.
