A set of 32 unique weather symbols saved as individual PNG images with transparency. A single zipped file includes the complete set of weather icons at four different pixel sizes - 256x256, 128x128, 100x100 and 64x64 to suit any web-based weather application. Also included is a handy legend showing each symbol image and description.
NOTE: These icons (Set 2) appear on transparent backgrounds. If you would like the same set but with solid coloured backgrounds please click here.
Designed by former BBC TV Graphic Designer Mike Afford specifically as an alternative for those wanting to use the famous BBC symbols without the worry of potential copyright infringement.
This symbol set has been designed to retain the 'feel' of old-school TV graphics, but has been redrawn from scratch and with enough variation in colour, curve and position of the various elements to distance itself from the original inspiration.
In addition, this icon set includes three variations of cloud colour, and symbols for 'night-time' showers.
